Ace Taxis is a growing company, and as our client base expands, so does our team. We're always interested in hearing from reliable, professional people who take pride in delivering great customer service.

All applicants must: All applicants must pass a medical examination, obtain a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, and hold a valid licence issued by the relevant council.

Owner Drivers

We have vacancies for experienced owner-drivers to join our circuit.

You will need to:

  • Hold a current Basildon or Castle Point Taxi licence
  • Own or lease a suitable vehicle, licensed and regularly inspected by Basildon or Castle Point District Council
  • Have excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Be courteous and willing to assist customers with luggage

Employed Drivers

We also recruit drivers for positions within our own expanding fleet.

You will need to:

  • Be aged 21 or over
  • Hold a full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 3 years
  • Have 6 or fewer penalty points
  • Have no serious criminal convictions
  • Have excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional manner
  • Be willing to assist customers with luggage

Controllers & Telephonists

From time to time, we also recruit experienced controllers and telephonists to work from our Wickford office. If you have a background in customer service or dispatch and are looking for a role in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.

What we're looking for:

Experience in customer service, dispatch operations or call handling. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
